Custom furniture means something different to everyone. There are elements of size and shape, the type of timber you want, the number of doors and drawers, or how it fits into a particular corner. But there should also be an element of surprise, a delightfulness in the finished piece that exceeds the original idea. My aim as a furniture maker is to build pieces that are useful, well constructed and pleasing to look at.
